Here is a simple recipe for making cake balls
1 boxed cake mix
1 can of frosting
candy melts or chocolate chips
Bake the cake according to the package instructions and let it cool completely.
Once the cake is cooled, crumble it into a large mixing bowl.
Add 1 can of frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until well combined and the mixture holds together when pressed.
Roll the mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Chill the cake balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Melt the candy melts or chocolate chips in the microwave or on a double boiler.
Dip each cake ball into the melted chocolate and tap off any excess.
Place the cake balls back onto the parchment paper and let them set until the chocolate has hardened.
Note: You can also add sprinkles, nuts, or coconut to the melted chocolate for added texture and flavor.
