Here is a simple recipe for making cream cheese frosting cake balls
Ingredients:
1 (18 oz) box of yellow cake mix
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
Melting chocolate or chocolate coating, for dipping
Instructions:
Bake the yellow cake according to the instructions on the box and allow it to cool completely.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
Gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt to the cream cheese mixture, beating until well combined.
Crumble the cooled cake into the cream cheese mixture until it is thoroughly combined and a dough-like consistency is formed.
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, form the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place the cake balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Melt the chocolate or chocolate coating in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler, stirring frequently until smooth.
Dip the chilled cake balls into the melted chocolate, using a toothpick or fork to hold onto the ball. Tap off any excess chocolate and place the cake balls back onto the parchment paper.
Allow the chocolate to set and the cake balls to come to room temperature before serving.
Enjoy your delicious cream cheese frosting cake balls!
